History

J.C. Edwards, based in Los Angeles, was one of the largest breeders of Budgerigars in the United States. In 1928, he bred and sold approximately 15,000 young birds, which included many Blues, Blue-breds, Cobalts, Mauves, and other colour varieties. His breeding aviaries were large and spacious. While breeding Budgerigars was a business for J.C. Edwards, his hobby was breeding Finches and Lovebirds.
