        Simon Dardick is the co-owner and editor of the publishing company Véhicule Press in Montreal, Quebec. Founded in 1973 by Dardick and Guy Lavoie, Véhicule Press publishes mostly Canadian prize-winning poetry, fiction, essays, translations, vintage noir, and social history. In 1981, Dardick and his wife Nancy Marrelli became sole owners and shifted the emphasis to trade books of local interest, along with fiction and jazz. In 1999, they won the McAuslan Brewery Community Award in recognition of their 25 years of service to the arts.
