History

Louis Cloak was born on February 28, 1848, in Perranarworthal, Cornwall, England.

He was a clergyman of the Church of Ireland. In 1871, he moved to the United States where he resided in Michigan, North Carolina, Wisconsin, and New York. From 1888 to 1910, he was rector at St. James Church in Cloone, Leitrim County, Ireland.

In 1871, he married Ellen Knuckley (1846–1904). He died on April 1, 1927, in Sutton, Surrey, England.
