History

Born in Montréal, Maurice-Régis Blondeau was an important fur trader in the northwest. He partnered with a number of other merchants, including Jean-Baptiste Cadot, a fur trader in the Michigan region. A founding member of the Beaver Club, Blondeau was also a justice of the peace and militia officer in Montreal.
