LePallieur, Charles Léonard, 1766-
Charles Léonard Lepallieur was born on 4 June 1766, the son of Charles Lepallieur and Louise Roy. He decided to embark on a career as a fur trader in 1790, heading out to Michilimackinac, and later to the north-eastern United States. Though he initially had very poor luck with his business, he eventually found some success.

Craig Leonard was born in Nova Scotia and grew up in Ontario.
He is a Canadian visual arts artist, musician, and educator. He graduated from Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario (B.A., 1993), Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia (B.Ed., 1996), and the University of Toronto (Master of Visual Studies, 2005). Since 2006, he has been teaching Expanded Media at the NSCAD University (Nova Scotia College of Art and Design) in Halifax. Leonard exhibits his art at various exhibitions in Canada, the United States, and Europe.
