Malvezzi, Cristoforo, 1547-1599
Avrum Zalman Malus was born on December 28, 1938, in Montreal, Quebec.
He was a Canadian poet and educator. He studied at McGill University (B.A.), Rutgers University (M.A.) and Université de Montréal (Ph.D., 1975). His Ph.D. dissertation was “The Face of Holiness in the Writing of Leonard Cohen”. He taught English language and literature at the Université de Sherbrooke from 1969 until he died in 1993. Malus published books as well as articles and poems in the magazines, Ellipse and Matrix. He published a collection of poems, "I Set the Fire which Destroyed Our Home" (1978).
He married Monique Martin. He died on August 9, 1993, in Montreal, Quebec.
Malotte, Albert Hay, 1895-1964
Nello Malo was born about 1918, in Quebec, Canada.
In 1947, he and his brother Anthony Malo, began the plumbing and heating materials company Nelco. Their father’s original business, William Malo and Sons, General Contractor provided the origin of Nelco. They also owned a gas station.
He died in 2007, in Quebec, Canada.
