A. Grubert was a dealer in natural history specimens based in Berlin (Turmstrasse 37, Berlin N.W.21) during the early 20th century. He dealt in "first class and showy" tropical butterflies and beetles, advertising in publications like The Entomologist and Entomologische Litteraturblätter around 1905–1907.

Oskar Cameron Grüner was born in Altrincham, England. He received his M.D. from London University in 1908. Between 1910 to 1914, he was Pathologist to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal and Assistant Professor of Pathology at McGill University. During World War I, he became chief of the Tropical Diseases Section of East Leeds War Hospital. From 1932 until his retirement in 1945, he was in charge of the Archibald Cancer Research Fund and of the Cancer Department of St. Mary’s Hospital in Montreal. Besides his medical interests, Dr. Gruner was also an excellent linguist. He published several books and many articles on cancer. He died in Montreal in 1972.
