Norris Giblin was born in Hobart, Tasmania in 1889. He studied medicine at the University of Edinburgh. He taught at McGill in the Department of Physiology after 1922, becoming a professor. In 1942-43, he aided Dr. Boris Babkin in the research of microcephalic sutures. He died in 1972 and is cremated at Mount Royal Cemetery.
Gibson Greetings is a major manufacturer of greeting cards in the United States. It has its roots in Gibson & Company, a lithography company founded in Cincinnati circa. 1850. During the 1870s, the company branched out into greeting cards and is still a major player in this space today.
