Robson, John M.D., of Warrington, active 1840
Robson's collection of books formed the nucleus of the McGill University Library.
Charles Robson was a son of Presbyterian minister, Rev. James Robson. He ran a dry goods business in Pictou, Nova Scotia, and later moved to Halifax, opening a store on Granville Street, next door to the booksellers and publishers A. & W. Mackinlay. He died in 1886, and his obituary was published in the Halifax Morning Herald on February 19, 1886.
