Italian composer Santiago Cittadini wrote the lyrics for some of his own songs, including the lullaby “Ninna nanna.” His classical works were often sung by opera singer Beniamino Gigli, known sometimes as the “second Caruso.” Among his other creations were “Nostalgia d’amore,” “Quando l’amore nasce,” and “Alla danza.”
