General note
The paper, "Memory Mechanisms" was delivered by Dr. Penfield as the Presidential address at the Seventy-Sixth Annual Meeting of the American Neurological Association, Atlantic City, N.J. June 18 1951. and forming part of a sympsium on the Brain and the Mind. The paper was also published as in the journal Archives of Neurology and Psychiatry, 67: 178-91. It was also reprinted as MNI Reprint #395, a copy of which can be found in the box lebelled "Bibliography Nos. P.1-P.139" under number P181.
