"Architectural Drawings, 1921-38, 322 drawings." Designs, proposals, additions and alterations to thirty-eight projects for domestic architecture, including the Hallward house (now McGill University's Martlet House) and summer country houses; public commissions such as Murray Park Shelter in Westmount and Westmount City Hall comprise the holdings of the CAC of the work of Robert and Francis R. Findlay.
"Photographs, 1922-38, 51 photographs." Seven of the Findlays' projects are documented by photographs. Included are photographs of finished interiors and exteriors of houses in Westmount as well as the Westmount City Hall.
"Professional Papers, 1928-40, 19 cm."Correspondence, specifications, clippings, pamphlets, invoices, etc., for seven projects; among them the Murray Park Shelter, the Union Twist Drill Company's building in Rock Island, PQ, and houses in Westmount, are found in the Findlay archive.

Esquisses, propositions, annexes et modifications se rapportant à 38 projets d'architecture domestique dont la maison Hallward (aujourd'hui la maison Martlet de l'Université McGill) et de résidences d'été; la CAC conserve également certains projets publics réalisés par Robert et Francis Findlay, notamment l'abri du parc Murray à Westmount et l'hôtel de ville de Westmount.

The fonds consists of Robert Bell's student notebooks related to his medical studies in Surgery, Materia Medica, Practice of Medicine, Obstetrics, Physiology and Clinics at McGill University. The fonds also contains circular letters and medical advertisements. Inventory for acc.732 purchased from John Mappin in 1979 also included in fonds.

Bell's papers are evenly divided between student notebooks and professional correspondence. The notebooks for his undergraduate courses in mathematics, physical and biological sciences, and engineering cover the period 1858-1861. His correspondence includes letters from John William Dawson, George Mercer Dawson, Archibald Byron Macallum, Henry Taylor Bovey, C.H. McLeod, B.J. Harrington, David Ross McCord, and Major H.H. Lyman, largely on Bell's expeditions and publications, and on the affairs of the Geological Survey and the McGill Graduates' Society, 1898-1907.

The papers contain printed biographical materials: newsclippings on Craik's appointment as Dean (1889), his resignation (1901) and his death, as well as printed addresses by and in honour of him. There is also a typescript copy of the Medical Faculty's resolution at the time of Craik's death. A letter from Craik to a Miss Charleton (1904) thanks her for assistance in compiling an obituary.

This fonds consists of Bell's personal and research files from the period before his appointment as principal (1956-1969) and after his resignation (1979-1983). There is some material from his years as principal (1977), but it concerns Bell as a physicist or as a member of a learned society. The fonds shows Bell's involvement in professional associations, including correspondence, cyclical reviews, information on conferences, lectures, meetings, committees and projects.
