Letter to Ellen Osler from William Osler, S.S."Cedric". Osler writes to inform his mother that he has accepted the Regius Professorship of Physic at Oxford. He received the appointment from the Prime Minister, Mr. Balfour. The position will allow Osler a quieter life than he has had in Baltimore of late. He regrets that his relocation to England will result in even fewer visits with his mother in Toronto. Osler is sad to leave the boys in Baltimore, but he believes the move to England is the best thing for himself and for his family.
