Poetry

The poetry series consists of textual documents related to Stephen Scobie’s work as a poet. This includes drafts of individual poems, drafts and manuscripts of Scobie’s collected and published works, and editorial notes, in a mixture of typed and handwritten. The series also includes reviews of Scobie’s published poetry collections, correspondence concerning publications and/or performances, advertisements for performances, and publications that featured Scobie’s poetry. Stephen Scobie was the creator of the majority of the records in this series, other creators are only included with written reviews or correspondence. The series is mostly located in Container 3, with some files within Container 4 and 5.

Pavilion publications

Series consists of official country pavilion pamphlets, as well as other pavilion publications and ephemera, such as postcards. Also included are travel brochures produced by many of the participant countries. Pavilion pamphlets are included for the following countries or entities: Algeria, Australia (as well as Tasmanian Pavilion), Austria, Barbados and Guyana (also includes exhibition document), Britain (British Pavilion pamphlet and foldout), Canada (including Canadian Pulp and Paper Pavilion, Western Canadian Pavilion postcard, and Christian Pavilion pamphlet), Czechoslovakia (also includes Koospol "Smoked Meat and Sausages at their best" pamphlet), Ethiopia, France (1981), Iran, Ireland, Japan, Mexico (including one menu), Monaco, the Netherlands, Soviet Union (including Soviet Pavilion, the Soviet Character pamphlet, and book on Soviet humour), Switzerland, Tasmania, the United Nations, Vermont, and Yugoslavia. One file of publications from the Christian Pavilion contain items related to Roman Catholicism.

Pavilion publications were also produced by the participating countries in conjunction with pavilion pamphlets. These publications in this series represent the following countries:

Tourist and travel brochures exist for: Algeria, Uganda, U. A. R., Soviet Lithuania, Czechoslovakia (also with business development brochure), Greece (tourist map), and Finland.

There is also one pamphlet related to economic development produced by Gabon: "Gabon 67 The Cross-road of Economic Expansion."

Reviews and press

Series contains newspaper clippings and magazines containing articles, reviews, or special issues on Expo 67.

Scrapbook

The Scrapbook series contains one scrapbook of photographs and newspaper clippings related to his career as the singer of “O Canada” during professional sports games.

Newsclippings and articles

Most of the newsclippings in this collection are about ski related activities such as the Jackrabbit Ski League, various competitions, or about Herman's great longevity. They range from 1966-67 and 1974-1981.

Fiction and drama

This series consists mainly of short stories, both handwritten and typed, by Stephen Scobie. The files include early drafts of novels and published and unpublished short stories, as well as a libretto, early notes for an opera and unproduced film scripts. The creator for most of the records in this series was Stephen Scobie. The series is located within Container 4 and 5.

Administrative activities

Documents concerning administrative activities undertaken by Pappius in support of her remunerative work. Includes activities at the MNI/H not directly related to research and teaching.

Books

The series consists of published books owned by the Zoological Society of Montreal, which pertain to the activities and interests of the Society. Some of these works contain the authors’ signatures.
