The fonds consists of records generated and accumulated by Arthur Vineberg during his professional activities but also contains some records related to his private life. The records are divided into nine series : A. Personal and Biographical Documents, B. Accounting, C. Medical and Research Work, D. Hospital Institutional Work, E. Publications, F. The collection consists of documents pertaining to Dr. H. S. Birkett's medical activities, including 117 bound volumes of patient records (1889-1942), medical notebooks (1893-1896), bound RVH reports (1894-1938), RVH charts (1901-1920) and registers (1899-1917). There are also various letters addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Birkett, a manuscript, newspaper clippings, various degrees and medical association certificates, as well as photographs of H. S. Birkett's personal life and professional life at McGill and elsewhere. The collection also includes various artifacts collected by H. S. B, including military and medical memorabilia collected by H. S. Birkett.

The Penfield fonds consists of over eighty metres of Penfield's personal and professional records dating from his childhood up until his death in 1976, including during his career at the Montreal Neurological Institute. The materials in the fonds include photographs, correspondence, manuscripts and drafts of publications and speeches, research notes, glass slides, bound reports, films, and academic gowns.

The fonds contains materials that Dr. M. Entin collected for his biography of Dr. Archibald. Mainly include articles relate to tuberculosis, pancreatitis, wound healing, history of surgery, and scientific writing. It also includes letters from Edward Archibald to Mrs. Archibald, letters to Archibald from William Osler and Sir Henry Gray, addenda of Archibald's world journey in 1936, and articles by Archibald.

Some draft chapters of the biography of Dr. Archibald and research data for 100th Anniversary of Royal Victoria Hospital can also be found in the fonds.

Fonds contains various certificates and awards received by Browne; photographs and slides; two official portraits; letters of Ms. W. Browne (sister) regarding Browne; Last Will and Testament; The Canadian Medical Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony VHS, and newspaper clippings.

The fonds illustrates Dr. Cone's work as a neurosurgeon and consists of correspondence, letters, articles, newspaper clippings, obituaries, photographs, slides, research material and notes, course material, annual reports, manuscripts, typescripts, annotations, published and unpublished manuscripts written by Dr. Cone, printed copies of articles, and patient files.
