The fonds consists of diaries, private ledger and cash book, architectural drawings, news clippings, correspondence, one seal, one measuring tape, and photographs relating to J.S. Costigan and family.

The company's records contain administrative, financial and publicity material. The administrative series comprises the minutes of the directors from 1929 to 1955 and of the executive committee from 1949 to 1956. An engagement book records contracts between the company and its employees, 1902-1906. Henry Morgan's business correspondence covers the period 1847-1850, and includes a few personal letters to his brother James. Financial records cover both internal operations and stock transactions. The former are documented by an account book, 1845-1848; ledgers, 1870-1889; and diaries, 1884, 1936; the latter by lists of stock holders, 1954-1960; and records of transfers of Morgan's common stock, 1954-1961. Also included are files of invoices, receipts and cheques, 1846-1852. Publicity materials largely centre around anniversaries. Scrapbooks of newspaper clippings, other printed materials and photographs cover the years 1936-1945, culminating in the company's centennial, for which a typescript history was prepared.

The D'Aigle papers fall into three series: diaries, correspondence and a scrapbook of photographs and memorabilia. The diaries (1912-1914, 1927, 1935-1952) are largely devoted to a day-by-day account of prospecting journeys. Correspondence with members of his family, partners, prospective financial backers and government mining bureaus covers the years 1900-1959. The scrapbook contains personal mementos, newsclippings about D'Aigle, photographs of his journeys, lists of supplies for prospecting trips, and maps, some drawn by D'Aigle himself.

Most of the collection consists of certificates and diplomas awarded to Eleanor McGarry from McGill as well as from other medical associations. There are exam results from all stages of her education, souvenirs from medical student days and a small amount of personal correspondence. As well there are two bound photo albums containing studio portraits from the late 1800s, not all of which are identified.

Included in the McGarry fonds are papers from Dr. Percy Wright (b. 1882). Dr. Wright graduated from McGill (M.D. 1908). He was a consultant Otolaryngologist at the Children's Memorial Hospital (later the Montreal Children's Hospital), the Verdun General Hospital and The Catherine Booth Hospital. His collection of correspondence, journals, and lectures falls mainly between 1930 and 1939.

"Architectural Drawings, 1945-55, 80 drawings." The majority of the architectural drawings documenting the projects of this firm relate to the design of a house for P. A. Cumyn in Senneville, PQ (1953-5). The other four projects with drawings include the addition of a parish hall for St. George's Church on Windsor Street in Montreal (1946) and alterations to the house of D. H. Starkey on Piquet Road in Montreal (1946).

Fonds consists of papers pertaining to Adair's student days and scholarly publications prior to coming to McGill, and his teaching activities at McGill. There are no materials relating to his administration of the History Department or his presidency of the C.H.A. Records of Adair's student days include diplomas, examination papers, lecture syllabi and reading lists from the universities of London and Cambridge, and printed testimonials on his behalf, 1911-1918.

Drafts for scholarly publications on English constitutional history for the years 1916-1928 can be found in manuscript and proof form, as well as correspondence relating to his publications and the reviews they received, 1947-1955. Adair's research materials comprise notes and draft articles on the history of Québec parishes. Records of his teaching career at McGill include notes for lectures, a register of student marks (Restricted), formal examination papers, course outlines and copies of class notes from 1925 to 1954. Adair's family life is documented by a collection of photographs and glass negatives, largely of Adair himself as a child and young man, with family and school friends.

The John Howard Toynbee Falk fonds was created during Falk's time in Montreal, including papers and addresses on the themes of social work including the role of the church in social services. They document the ideas of a leader and educator in the field of social work. In this vein there is, for example, a letter written by William Lyon Mackenzie King to Falk as the Director of the McGill School of Social Workers. These records also complement other holdings of t he McGill University Archives, including the official records of the School of Social Work and the private fonds of the Montreal Council of Social Agencies. The fonds also documents Falk's family life and his work with refugees during the 1905 Russian Revolution.

Bovey's papers document his involvement with a number of organizations, his political, literary, and military careers, and his travels. His files as president of the Canadian Handicrafts Guild, 1930-1936, include reports, correspondence and speeches, while those connected with the Canadian Legion Educational Services also include photographs and printed material, 1939-1946. The C.B.C. series comprises programmes, draft speeches and letters, 1936-1944. His political correspondents include St. Laurent and MacKenzie King, 1940-1944. Speeches made by Bovey before the Legislative Council, business and other groups discuss a wide range of political, social and educational issues are supplemented by clipping files on Québec politics. Bovey's literary ventures generated correspondence and book reviews, as well as manuscript poems, 1939-1941, n.d., while his World War I military service is the subject of a small file of correspondence, 1915-1953. Finally, Bovey assembled scrapbooks of photographs and souvenirs of his voyages between 1930 and 1939. The fonds consists of negatives and photos of student life at Macdonald College between 1948 and 1952, taken during Edward Isenberg's four years at the college. In addition, the fonds includes a single Macdonald yearbook dated 1950.
