Records related to Dewdney’s professional careers and scholarly pursuits include: printed editions of published articles and books, manuscript drafts, research materials, reviews, essays and speeches, newspaper and magazine clippings, notes, exhibition catalogues, financial records, correspondence, sketches and drawings, notebooks, photographs and plays. The fonds also contains letters, photographs, notes, holiday cards, and invoices related to Dewdney’s personal activities.

This fonds contains material related to the writing career, environmental activism, and personal life of Mona Elaine Adilman. The documents cover a period between approximately 1935 and 1991. Much of the material relates to Adilman's poetry, fiction, and essay writing. In addition to manuscripts of poetry, books, and essays, there are research materials, promotional materials, grant materials, and correspondence related to writing and publishing. There are also materials related to her music writing.

The fonds documents Sharon Thesen’s personal and professional life as a poet, editor, and professor from 1961 to 1989. All records in the fonds were collected by Thesen herself, and are primarily composed of correspondence, journals, and creative work. Most of the creative work is composed of drafts and edited versions of Thesen’s own poetry, essays, and articles, but also includes work sent to her for review. While most of the records are textual, there are a small number of pictures and postcards that were sent to and taken by Thesen, and are mostly of a personal nature. Notably, a large section of the fonds is made up of letters that include correspondence between other published and acclaimed authors such as Michael Ondaatje, Christopher Dewdney, Lola Lemire Tostevin, Ken Norris, Judith Fitzgerald, Phyllis Webb, Gerald Burns, and others. Lastly, the fonds also includes Thesen’s journals from the mid-60s to the mid-80s which contain her daily activities, her personal thoughts, as well as some of her creative work.

The files also include some peripheral and administrative documents relating to his publications, such as book sales receipts, royalty agreements, and reviews, as well as promotional materials relating to lectures, poetry readings and other events. Other materials include correspondence between Scobie and friends, publishers, and other organizations and individuals, as well as selected editions of White Pelican, a literary journal that Scobie edited, from 1971-1973.

The fonds consists of records documenting William P. Wolfe's business activity as an antiquarian bookseller in Montreal with a focus on Canadiana, from primarily 1952 to 1985. There are also some scattered earlier materials. The fonds contains chiefly textual records, with one microfiche, one artifact, and a small amount of graphic materials, as well as printed matter. The records are mainly correspondence (letters received as well as copies of letters sent to contacts across Canada, the United States and Europe); there are also accompanying catalogues, auction records, receipts, inventory lists and newspaper clippings. Files are arranged alphabetically in two blocks: A-N and A-Z. Other records document the administration of Wolfe's company, including tax forms, bills, auction house receipts, auction house catalogues, receipts for office equipment, promotional materials from other businesses, newsletters and newspaper clippings. The fonds consists of the following series: Business Correspondence (1958-1984) and Financial Administration (1958-1985).

Fonds consists of primarily financial and legal records related to property transfers and the estates of members of the Dawes and Leishman families. It includes land sale deeds, court documents, invoices, receipts, and wills. Business and legal affairs of James P. Dawes, his wife Elizabeth Leishman, and their son Albert F. Dawes are represented in the fonds. Business deals associated with James P. Dawes include with Grand Trunk Railway Company of Canada. Many legal documents in the fonds are related to land holdings and property in Lachine, Quebec.

The fonds consists of records pertaining to the Montreal Diet Dispensary and its connection to other charitable associations and institutions that assisted in the general functions of the Dispensary; the records date from 1885-1965 with a single record from 1980. There are notebooks filled with notes from the Diet Dispensary meetings from the late 1880s up until the mid-1900s. There is correspondence to financial and legal bodies such as the Royal Bank of Canada and Armstrong & De Witt from the Dispensary, dating from 1907-1929. In addition to business correspondence, there are also some personal correspondence to and from Dr. Denstedt from 1957-1958. In addition, there are a number of annual reports and statements for the Dispensary as well as the Welfare Federation of Montreal and its member agencies (of which the Diet Dispensary was one); these date from 1921-1957. Furthermore there are some mounted colour slides, date unknown, and a series of photos depicting Dr. Denstedt and various women at Richmond Square from 1956. There are also administrative records such as the Montreal Diet Dispensary Address Book, date unknown, and some publications mainly in the form of nutritional pamphlets from 1936-1942.

These McGill papers are entirely concerned with his property and estate. They comprise legal documents and copies of letters (some in McGill's hand) concerning his land holdings on St. Paul St., Montréal, in Stanbridge, and in Detroit. McGill's cash book, 1809-1815, and copy by W.D. Lighthall of a deed of conveyance to McGill of some land formerly occupied by the city fortifications, 1805, are also included, as is a blue-print and sketch by W.D. Lighthall of the site of McGill's St. Paul St. house. Estate papers comprise a probate of McGill's will, copied by Alice Lighthall, and his executor's cash book.
