Incidents of a life

File consists of an autobiography prepared by James Dawson around approximately 1859, entitled 'Incidents of a Life: being a record of 70 years experience of God's goodness and mercy.'

Narrative diary, 1849-1861

File consists of one bound diary containing some narrative entries recounting passages from James Dawson's life, including his immigration and early life in Canada. Other entries are copies of letters or reminiscenes on the occasions of his birthday. Names and birthdates of children written on front pastedown. First entry is dated March 25, 1838, and last entry dated April 19, 1861.

Redpath Museum Auxiliary, by-laws, members, reports, 1960-1971

File contains material on the founding and administration of the McGill University Museums Auxiliary, founded by Anne V. Byers and for which she worked as a volunteer from 1960-1971. The McGill Museums Auxiliary was an outgrowth of a project by the Junior League. File includes clippings invitations to events, background informational document, typewritten reports, lists of Board members from 1963-1965, and a membership list dated 1965-1966.
