The fonds consists of documents and photographs relevant to the history of the NAJC, particularly as regards the 1988 redress by the Canadian government. The scope predominately covers the period from 1987 to 1989, and includes correspondence, census data, briefs, minutes, surveys, and internal newsletters.

Fonds consists of architectural drawings, textual records, and bound volumes. Architectural drawings and paper files are related to a proposal by Descon / Concordia in joint venture with Philip David Bobrow for "Operation Breakthrough" a program developed through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Washington, D.C. in 1970. "Operation Breakthrough" was a broad residential development program designed to resolve a multitude of problems in order to make available quality housing in large quantities by utilizing modern design and technology, and contemporary approaches to financing, marketing, land use and management. Other architectural drawings and a model of the Belec Residence, 1 Grove Park, Westmount QC, 1997-1998, are included. The fonds also contains 12 bound volumes of studies, programs, reports related to the Institution à sécurité maximale 2, Mirabel, QC, 1977,1979.

The collection consists of books, periodicals, and published ephemera related to alternative media between roughly the 1960s and 1998. The collections has a special focus on Quebec alternative, grassroots, and political publications as well as journalism trade publications and ephemera, and union and labour movement publications. Some publications are from Cuba and China, including Cuban calendars and some documents, books, and newspapers on China.

The Ronald Melzack fonds contains 6 videotapes, 1 Radio-Quebec program "Les Prix du Quebec, 1994" and 5 taped lectures in the "University of the air" series, 1978.

The fonds chiefly consists chiefly of records related to the editing and publishing work of the Muses' Company press. The fonds consists of seven series: manuscripts; financial records; publications; correspondence; records related to the Association des éditeurs anglophone de Québec; records relating to the Association of Canadian Publishers; and records relating to the Literary Press Group. Most of the records were either created or accumulated by Endre Farkas in relation to the Muses’ Co. publications between 1980 and 1995. Records relating to publishing include manuscripts of works, page proofs with corrections, editors’ and authors’ notes, published books, and publicity materials. Other production records within the fonds include correspondence, pamphlets, photographs, layouts, and drawings for covers. These manuscripts also often have accompanying materials including photos and correspondence, in particular for the Dance Agenda project. There is also correspondence including exchanges with authors such as Ken Norris, Kenneth Radu, Katharine Beeman, Elias Letelier-Ruz, Ian Stephans, and Sharon H. Nelson as well as notes to Leonard Cohen. The company's financial records in the fonds consist income tax receipts, statement of earnings, reports of sales of books, buyers, quotes, invoices, funding applications, contracts and correspondence. Notable financial records include book sales from the McGill University Bookstore, as well as the universities of Toronto, Waterloo, Calgary, and Maine. Other records include materials from the Association des éditeurs anglophone du Québec (1991-1994), the Canada Grant Council, the Association of Canadian Publishers, the Literary Press Group. Also represented is the Quanglo Tour itinerary including posters, postcards, and advertisements (1994-1995).

Typed transcriptions of Charles McKenzie’s narratives about the Indigenous people of MIssouri, draft and revised draft before publication; Alexander Henry’s account entitled: “Account of a visit to the Mandan and Hidatsa Indians in 1806”; and John Macdonell’s “The Red River”. The McGill Women's Union fonds contains the administrative records of the student organization from 1980 to 1993. It includes some administrative files (information files) created by Margaret Gillet.

The fonds includes a collection of AIDS activism materials, with an emphasis on its manifestation in Canada's visual art world, through the collections of Mr. John A. Schweitzer and others. Several of the documents have been signed by either John A. Schweitzer or Robert Mapplethorpe. The materials in the collection include posters, press releases, conference programs, exhibition catalogues, exhibition invitations, exhibition ephemera, programs, brochures, tear-sheets, auction catalogues, and reviews.

The fonds consists of alphabetically arranged files on the year’s intellectual, cultural and athletic activities (1983-1985). Included are memoranda, minutes and agendas of meetings, correspondence, newspaper clippings, information on sister institutions and pamphlets published on the occasion of the celebrations. Non textual records comprise of 8 reels of Concertos for Three Keyboards in Pollack Hall by Dorothy Morton, Esther Master and Luba Zuk, as well as 3 reels of the Woman Centennial Committee sponsored Voice and Piano Recital by Margaret Kalil and Janet Schmalfeldt and M.
