Legal Affairs and Insurance

The sub-series is divided in two subsub-series on the legal procedures taken by Vineberg against Samuel Novick Inc., a truck company, after an accident in New York City which caused physical diseases to himself and his wife and on his insurances claims and couverture.

Financing and Donations

Sub-series consists of nineteen files of documents related to the financing of research work of Dr. Vineberg. We can find a file on the legal constitution of the Vineberg Heart Foundation through which Vineberg accumulates private donations. There are files on donations and also requests of contributions to previous patients, individuals, companies and politicians.
Includes thank you letters, solicitation letters, newspaper clippings, list of donors, memorandums, notebook, one report of the House of Commons Debates, copy of charter, notes, one last will and testament, drafts of letters, articles.

Memorabilia

This sub-series contains newspaper clippings, photographs, and travel materials collected by Wilder Penfield, a group of war predictions for 1943 prepared by Wilder Penfield and his friends in 1942, and materials related to the ceremonial side of the MNI.

Reprints

Subseries contains copies of reprints published by Arthur Vineberg in scientific and medical journals and chapters of books on which Vineberg collaborated. It covers all his career but more specifically after 1950 until 1975. These reprints reflect the progress of Vineberg's work and his findings on myocardial revascularization. Subseries contains 98 files, arranged by date of publication.

This sub-series contains one small red leather pouch with “H. Lewis” written in pen on the interior and one empty metal frame included in the original donation and accessioned with the rest of the collection.

Memorabilia

This sub-series consists of varied materials including maps, event programs, newspaper clippings, travel itineraries, and other souvenirs collected by Helen to commemorate events, experiences, or places visited throughout her life with Wilder. This sub-series includes materials collection by Helen from her service in the war, her life in England, her travels with Wilder, and her varied social activities in Montreal. This sub-series also contains Helen’s detailed family chronicle spanning the years 1921-1963, and a biographical sketch of Wilder, written in 1956.
