Invoicing/Billing and Recovering

Sub-series consists of four files pertaining to the billing and recovering of money due by patients or their estate for operations performed by Dr. Vineberg. One file regards bills and the three others are about collection of money. Links of Vineberg with collection department of legal firms (Ogilvy, Cope,Porteous, Hansard, Marler, Montgomery & Renault and Lazarus, Lehrer & Baer) Includes correspondence, legal correspondence, statements, ledger sheets, lists, operation report, telegrams, notes, one report sheet and one creditor's claim sheet.

Series consists of two sub-series.

Includes deposit slips, statements, notes, account books and one ledger.

Financing and Donations

Sub-series consists of nineteen files of documents related to the financing of research work of Dr. Vineberg. We can find a file on the legal constitution of the Vineberg Heart Foundation through which Vineberg accumulates private donations. There are files on donations and also requests of contributions to previous patients, individuals, companies and politicians.
Includes thank you letters, solicitation letters, newspaper clippings, list of donors, memorandums, notebook, one report of the House of Commons Debates, copy of charter, notes, one last will and testament, drafts of letters, articles.

Research/special Funds Accounting

Sub-series contains seven files pertaining to the accounting of several special funds used by Vineberg. It gives a partial view of the special funds he had. The files are arranged in alphabetical order.

Includes correspondence, statements, invoices and memos.

Travel Expense

Sub-series consists of two files of correspondence between Dr. Vineberg and his accountant regarding his travel expenses and one file about his Air Canada account. Includes statements, bills, correspondence and plane tickets.

Royalty Statements

Sub-series consists of one file of royaltie statements for Dr. Vineberg's book "Myocardial Revascularization by Arterial Ventricular Implants". Includes statements and one letter.

Bank Accounts

Sub-series consists of documents related to bank transactions of accounts of Dr. Vineberg. Correspondence with bank managers, authorization to exchange or release stocks or bonds, bank transactions. Includes two files.

Bonds and Stocks

Sub-series consists of eight files pertaining to the bonds and stocks of Dr. Vineberg. Files on the ownings of Vineberg and with several companies ou courtiers.Also there is a file on a project of exploiting uranium mining properties in the vicinity of Lake Little Manicouagan in the North of Quebec Province. Files are in alphabetical order

Research Works and Projects on Coronary Artery Insufficiency

Sub-series consists of files on several research works or projects executed in association with research fellows or pharmaceutical companies, cardiovascular pharmacologists. Also grants requests for project. Files are arranged in alphabetical order under name of project or pharmaceutical company. Accounting correspondence, Research done at several hospitals Institute de Cardiologie and RVH, grants applications to several companies, individuals and governments, and associations.

Statistical Computerized Review of Patients that have undergone Vineberg Types of Revascularization Surgery over the Past 29 Years

Subseries consists of files on a project of Vineberg to complete a statistical study on the patients who have a Vineberg Operation, a follow-up of all his patients. This project was done in collaboration with a team from Duke University. "The cards have been jointly drawn up by Dr.Galen S. Wagner, Chief of Cardiology at Duke University, Dr. G.A. Klassen Department of Cardiology at RVH, Dr. John Shanks, senior cardiologist at RVH, Dr. Maurice McGregor, Prof. Of Medicine, RVH and Dr. Vineberg. Two research fellows have been involved in the project Manuel Scarowsky and Thomas Cherian.
The objective is to computerize the results of patients suffering from coronary artery disease who have undergone Vineberg operation and compare their results with those of patients treated medically or by aortocoronary vein bypass grafts.
