The fonds illustrates Charles Lewis's work in pharmacy and includes a collection of his father's records, also named Charles Lewis. It contains books, drug formulae books, manuscripts, diplomas, licenses, certificates, patent documents, catalogues, testimonials, notes, correspondence, legal documents, financial documents, business documents, and obituaries.

Collection contains a manuscript note written by a doctor at Partridge Island, dated August 21, 1833, that a Mrs. Campbell is allowed to depart from quarantine; also includes a travel document for Mrs. Campbell and two other adults sailing from Belfast to St. John, NB.

The fonds documents mainly Babkin's professional interests in physiology, especially glandular secretions and the nervous system. The fonds contains correspondence; lecture notes; citations; research notes and papers, including manuscripts sent to him by his colleagues; reprints of scientific articles mainly in Russian; and material used in the preparation of the biography of Ivan Pavlov. The latter contains correspondence with Ivan Petrovich Pavlov and members of his family, 1923-1948; photographs and portraits; and an unabridged typescript copy of Parts 1-3 of Pavlov: a Biography, with manuscript corrections, 1943-1946.

Fonds shows Herbert Frederick Moseley's relations with his editor for his book "Shoulder Lesions". It contains an original manuscript with the publisher's annotations for the 1945 edition and another complete copy.

Fonds shows Dr. Philip Franklin's relations and activities with Sir William Osler regarding the Post-Graduate Scheme in England and the American Hospital in England during WWI. The fonds contains letters, telegrams and an agenda and printed material regarding a meeting about the American Hospital.

Fonds contains a manuscript, entitled "Remarks on the Osteology of Alexander Monro by himself", written by Dr. John George Bethune who transcribed an old damaged manuscript found in a trunk in the garret of the steam factory of Bethune's father in August 1848. The damaged manuscript was, according to Bethune, from one of three famous physicians, three successive generations of an Edinburgh family, who all bore the name Alexander Monro.

Fonds contains two diaries for 1917 and 1918, and one address book of Dr. Robert Arthur Bowie during World War I. It includes 29 diaries written by his wife Pearl Blanche Bowie and by his daughter Margaret E. Bowie, from 1916 to 1951. In addition, there are a large number of photographs and negatives.

Fonds contains the notebook kept by Walker Herbert Drury of his bacteriology laboratories while a student at McGill University, from 1906 to 1908, but mainly 1906.

The collection contains a notebook, a scrapbook and some correspondence of Richard Robert Madden. The notebook includes drafts of his poems in his writing, ca 1830; notes by T.M. Madden pertaining to his tutors and schoolfellows at Radcliffe, 1854; and medical lectures at Trinity College, Dublin, 1855. The scrapbook includes clippings of controversies, enquiries and letters relating to slave trade, ca 1840.

The collection contains W.W. Francis memorabilia: an obituary notice, reprints with notes from W.W. Francis to Miss Anderson, a copy of a photograph of Francis with Osler, a program of an annual meeting of the Medical Library Association and a letter from Francis to Miss Anderson.
