Medal itself in D-O/H 4, on ribbon, in shaped case marked: ORDER OF MERIT / CIVILIAN.

  • Details/Dimensions: Facsimile of medieval illustration, 23 x 17 cm. Framed, gilt, 34.7 x 27.7 cm. glass cracked. Back of picture annotated: "Bât St. Val. Br Got fe uns (Valentine pray God for us) 'Zu Rufach" /Alsace / End 15th Cent. WGP: This print was evidently found in Rufach and shows two epileptics in fits and the pig in role of the Devil. Also two pilgrams to the shrine. This was given to me in the Copenhagen Town Hall (with 5000Fr.) by the Danish Epilepsy Society (by Mogens Lund who spoke well before Mayor, Can. Ambassador, President of Council, et al.
