The fonds documents John Bell's activities related to his medical studies at McGill in Surgery, Materia Medica and the Institutes of Medicine, as well as his work as a private physician in Montreal. The fonds consists of notebooks, a photocopy of his MS McGill medical thesis, letters from his personal and professional life, one of his medical kits, receipts from merchants, various subscriptions, societies and clubs. The fonds also contains various reprints of Bell's articles, including the 1878 article, "Case of Diphtheria, Acute Laryngeal Symptoms", as well as the City of Montreal's "Mortality of Montreal" – a list of all deaths in Montreal in January 1878.

Fonds contains lecture notes taken by Robert Struthers at McGill Medical College in 1881-1882, including notes on Pathology, Surgery and Ophthalmology. Lecturers include Robert Palmer Howard, Sir Thomas Roddick and Sir William Osler. There is also a case report by Struthers. The fonds includes two notebooks and a case report.

Fonds contains various certificates and awards received by Browne; photographs and slides; two official portraits; letters of Ms. W. Browne (sister) regarding Browne; Last Will and Testament; The Canadian Medical Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony VHS, and newspaper clippings.

The fonds includes two McGill University hand-books, 1913-1914 and 1914-1915 with brief notes referring to his activities as a student; three booklets of notes taken in Embryology, [191?], Histology, 1914 and one [unspecified] booklet of notes, [191?]. A newspaper clipping from the Chronicle: “The Kaiser and the Lusitania: Torpedoed against his wishes,” August 13, 1917; inventory from the Imperial War Museum of “The Papers of Mrs. G. S. Prichard” (mother to Prichard) relating to the correspondence between Mrs. Prichard and survivors of the Lusitania in search for news of her son during the sinking; Royal Bank of Canada Pass Book from Ewing, Alberta with records of Prichard’s cheque book activities from 1912-1914; a letter detailing investments (on McGill letterhead) dated January 22, 1914, is included inside the Royal Bank Pass Book.

Fonds contains two admission cards of Harry C. Cunningham for the year 1883, one for the course of Microscope in Medicine signed by Sir William Osler and one for a six month ticket to the Montreal General Hospital.

Fonds shows John McNaughton's activities as a medical student. It contains 3 lecture cards signed by or printed for the teachers. Among them are John Stephenson and W. Robertson.

Fonds shows Henry Beaumont Small's activities as a medical student through his admission cards for his complete medical formation. It contains 43 admission cards signed by or printed for the teachers, among them William Osler.

Fonds contains the notebook kept by Walker Herbert Drury of his bacteriology laboratories while a student at McGill University, from 1906 to 1908, but mainly 1906.

Fonds documents Dr. George H. Christie's medical education at McGill University and the Montreal General Hospital, 1868-1872, as well as his licences issued by professionnal associations, 1874. The fonds contains admission cards, a diploma, certificates and a receipt.
