Includes one letter (in French) to the Hon. Roderick Mackenzie from his son, Roderick-Charles. Letter discusses Mr. Gibbs' loss (a fire burned down his premises), arson in New York and the southern cities in the Union, and provides interesting commentary on social life in Montreal.

Letters to Jacob Oldham and Mackenzie, Oldham & Co.

File includes 2 letters addressed to Jacob Oldham and Messrs. Mackenzie, Oldham & Co. from Pangman at his manor Grace Hall in Mascouche. In the letter dated 1804, Pangman orders goods from Oldham (green rave, bread and veal) and asks to have the amount put on his account. In the second letter, he denies accusations of "dispersions" and disrespects made by an unidentified individual as reported to him in a letter from Mackenzie, Oldham & Co. and briefly mentions losing an amount of money and wanting to deliberate on whether to pay another sum.

File includes a copy of the Last Will and Testament of Peter Pangman and a letter of award in his favour. Copy of the Last Will and Testament of Peter Pangman originally recorded on November 1, 1815. This copy was made September 27, 1845. Also includes one document containing the arbitrators ruling in a disagreement between Pangman and Henry McKenzie, executor of the Estate of Simon McTavish, over the value of trees cut on Pangman's land in the Seigneury of Lachenaie and damage done to the undergrowth by workers.
