Item consists of a colour drawing of a snake. The caption identifies the species as "Anguis." The rest of the caption reads: "called by the Natives Hoogli-pattee. A Fowl bitten in the thigh by this Reptile, expired in five minutes." An additional pencil annotation by Henry Mousley identifies the species as "Hydrophis schistosus" (beaked sea snake).
