The Richard Coulter Collection provides extensive documentation for a period of approximately thirty years in the history of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). It constitutes an invaluable resource for research in Canadian music culture, and the CBC in particular and prominent Canadian composers and performers. The Richard Coulter Collection consists of the radio scripts, production information and publicity connected with programs and program series commissioned, developed and broadcast on CBC Radio in Canada in the 60s, 70s and 80s. The collection also contains audio recordings of a portion of the programs produced. The collection features such prominent North Americans such as Glenn Gould and John Cage. It is divided into ten series and contains approximately 17,000 items. The majority of the collection consists of documents and correspondence from Richard Coulter’s CBC office files relating to the CBC radio programs, special events and talent festivals that he produced. These include radio and television scripts, correspondence, administrative files, project reports, concert programs, publicity, promotional information, press clippings, payment information, contracts, production and technical information, scores, and audio tapes.

The Sir William Osler Collection, distinct from the Bibliotheca, is an extensive archival holding of Osler's correspondence (including eighteen hundred original letters), daybooks, accounts, engagement books, legal documents, book invoices, membership certificates, notebooks, lectures, addresses, newspaper clippings, photographs, books with manuscript additions, and miscellaneous loose items formerly inserted into individual books in his library. The collection also contains various family papers, including correspondence of Lady Grace Revere Osler and Edward Revere Osler.

Travel Photo Album Collection

Collection consists of an album of travel photographs (chiefly black and white, with some colour). Captions date the photographs to between 1946-1956 and then to between 1989-1994. The captions also include information about the photographs themselves. The first portion of the album contains photographs taken in Niagara Falls, Manitoulin Island, northern Ontario, Bermuda, the Maritime provinces, and the United States, including Howe Caverns, Fort Williams, New York, Yellowstone National Park, Plymouth Rock, Washington, New Orleans, and Mackinac Island, dated between 1946 and 1956. The second portion contains photographs dated from 1898-1994 and documents travel to Israel, Albania, the former Yugoslavia, Russia, Estonia, England, Greece, Costa Rica, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Ukraine. The album is cloth bound in blue with the title "Snaps" in black with painted tulips.

Saint Helen's Island Collection

Collection consists of three items relating to Saint Helen's Island (Île Sainte-Hélène), located southeast of the Island of Montreal in the Saint Lawrence River. The items relate to the island's military installations, built as defenses for the city of Montreal as a result of the War of 1812 and used as a munitions depot for the British Army and later a garrison, arsenal, and military prison operated by the Canadian Army. Items include a manuscript entitled, "Military Defences. St. Helen's Island - Barons of Longeuil," written by Charles Walkem, August, 1873; "Plan of Isle St. Helens," an undated map on linen paper, with a key pointing out the military installations; and "The Fort, St. Helen's Island," a 4-page pamphlet containing schematics and descriptions of the island's fort as well as a history of the island dating from 1611 to the 1960s. The pamphlet cover photograph features a soldier of the Royal Artillery, Saint Helen's Island Fort, circa 1865. Part of the manuscript document also deals with the hereditary Barony of Longueuil.

Jean Drapeau Collection

Collection consists of photograph albums and publications from Jean Drapeau's library related to significant events that occurred during his mandates as mayor of Montreal (1954 to 1957 and 1960 to 1986). Photograph albums, brochures, and publications represent Expo 67 and its reiteration, Man and his World (Terre des Hommes), which ran from 1968 to 1986. The 1976 Montreal Olympic Games are documented in programmes and photograph albums. The collection also includes records of Drapeau's political life, including transcripts of his speeches from 1955-1957, photograph albums related to his municipal political party, the Civic Party of Montreal (Parti civique de Montréal), and presentation copies of books.

Collection consists of programmes, guides, brochures, catalogues, and other ephemera from various world fairs and international exhibitions, including: Expo '86 Vancouver (1986), Expo '70 Osaka (1970), Exposition internationale in Paris (1937), Franco-British Exhibition (1908), Liverpool (1913), Exhibition universelle (1900), Latin-British Exhibition (1912), Canadian National Exhibition Toronto (1908), Golden Gate Exhibition (1939), New York World's Fair (1939), International Exhibition (1862), Irish International Exhibition (1907), New York Exhibition of the Industry of all Nations (1853), St. Louis World Fair (1904), Universal Exhibition Antwerp (1885), World's Columbian Exhibition in Chicago (1893), International Exhibition of 1876 in Philadelphia (1876), Chicago World's Fair (1934), and British Empire Exhibition (1924). The collection also includes postcards for various other world fairs and international exhibitions, and some country publications.

F. R. Scott Collection

The F.R. Scott Collection contains documents pertaining to many differents aspects of F.R. Scott's life and career. His early political involvement in CCF (Co-operative Commonwealth Federation, the political party at the origin of the creation of the federal New Democratic Party [NDP]) constitutes one series; his interest in poetry another one. Also some important legal actions are documented here about language and education rights in Quebec schools. The last series contains more personal items probably gathered for an official commemorative service: tributes, press clippings. Includes F.R. Scott's passport for Montreal's Expo 1967.

Wyatt Galt Johnston Collection

The collection contains correspondence, curriculum vitae, a poem written by his wife, Elizabeth Turnor, a record of medical examinations for the Coroner's Court of Montreal, 1894 and lectures notes. The greater part of the notes consists of embryology notes made at the Anatomisches Institut, Munich, around 1900.
