Letter to Bishop of Toronto from Featherstone Lake Osler, Tecumseth Parish, Upper Canada. Featherstone Osler asks to be relocated to parish in an area where his children will have access to a good education, somewhere that would not require constant traveling. Two of his children have already received a good education, but there are six others that he cannot afford to send to school.

Letter fragment. Letter tells of a child's [perhaps Osler?] bad behaviour at school. The note ends with a promise that the child will not be sent back to a place under the jurisdiction of men capable of acting as the majority of the Dundas Board of School Trustees have done.

Consists of 24 leaves of coloured sketches of plants, animals, and insects, including microscopic images, originally from a sketchbook or field notebook. Sketches are primarily pen and coloured ink, with some watercolour and pencil drawings. Pages are mostly detached. One page features snakeskin pasted in.
