Most of the collection consists of certificates and diplomas awarded to Eleanor McGarry from McGill as well as from other medical associations. There are exam results from all stages of her education, souvenirs from medical student days and a small amount of personal correspondence. As well there are two bound photo albums containing studio portraits from the late 1800s, not all of which are identified.

Included in the McGarry fonds are papers from Dr. Percy Wright (b. 1882). Dr. Wright graduated from McGill (M.D. 1908). He was a consultant Otolaryngologist at the Children's Memorial Hospital (later the Montreal Children's Hospital), the Verdun General Hospital and The Catherine Booth Hospital. His collection of correspondence, journals, and lectures falls mainly between 1930 and 1939.

The series consists of records pertaining to Duncan’s published works and art work. The series contains four scrapbooks of clippings related to each of her published books: “You Can Live in An Apartment” (1939), “Here’s to Canada!” (1941), “Bluenose: A Portrait of Nova Scotia” (1942), and “Partner in Three Worlds” (1944). Duncan’s work as a writer is also represented by publishing contracts from houses in New York and London (1940-1946), a series of photographs and captions that were used in “Here’s to Canada,” and files of newspaper and magazine clippings of articles written by and about Duncan, including a feature that she wrote about Gabrielle Roy. Duncan’s work as an artist is documented by files of clippings and contracts with art galleries. There is also a list of Duncan’s paintings included in one of the notebooks in Series 5 Notebooks and Diaries (1931-1957).

Series consists chiefly of architectural photography from Italy and France, featuring building exteriors and exteriors and details such as doorways, crests, and capitals. Photographs are mostly undated. One file contains photographs of public buildings in the United States and one photograph of a Royal Canadian Mounted Police garage in Montreal Quebec.

"Architectural Drawings, 1945-55, 80 drawings." The majority of the architectural drawings documenting the projects of this firm relate to the design of a house for P. A. Cumyn in Senneville, PQ (1953-5). The other four projects with drawings include the addition of a parish hall for St. George's Church on Windsor Street in Montreal (1946) and alterations to the house of D. H. Starkey on Piquet Road in Montreal (1946).

Fonds consists of papers pertaining to Adair's student days and scholarly publications prior to coming to McGill, and his teaching activities at McGill. There are no materials relating to his administration of the History Department or his presidency of the C.H.A. Records of Adair's student days include diplomas, examination papers, lecture syllabi and reading lists from the universities of London and Cambridge, and printed testimonials on his behalf, 1911-1918.

Drafts for scholarly publications on English constitutional history for the years 1916-1928 can be found in manuscript and proof form, as well as correspondence relating to his publications and the reviews they received, 1947-1955. Adair's research materials comprise notes and draft articles on the history of Québec parishes. Records of his teaching career at McGill include notes for lectures, a register of student marks (Restricted), formal examination papers, course outlines and copies of class notes from 1925 to 1954. Adair's family life is documented by a collection of photographs and glass negatives, largely of Adair himself as a child and young man, with family and school friends.

This series consists of 14 scrapbook volumes and files of material collected by Wood that were of interest to him either professionally or personally, dated between 1887-1955, but predominately 1926-1941. The scrapbooks and files contain newspaper and periodical clippings, correspondence, printed ephemera, photographs, postcards, palm leaf manuscripts, prints, paintings and other artwork, manuscripts, bookplates, place cards, and textile badges. There are also a few items within the volumes relating to Wood’s research trips and minor writings.
Overall topics within the series include ornithology, Wood’s parrot John III, zoology, naturalists, current events (1927-1941), poems, politics and war, British culture and people, health, obituaries, education, tourism, science and medical research, McGill Library and other institution collections, bird sanctuaries, and bird, ancient, and medieval artwork.
Printed ephemera from Wood’s travels include invitations, programs, brochures, tickets, visitation membership cards, business cards, etc.. There are two volumes (1925-1932) with Saturday Evening Post articles written by Hal G. Evarts, Stewart E. White, David Newell, Bozeman Bulger, Lord William Percy, Donald R. Dickey, and others.
There are 63 incoming and outgoing correspondence, including letters, notes, cards and telegrams. Individuals addressed include Dr. Axel Munthe, Irving Thalberg, Major Allan Brooks, Edith Swan, William Beebe, Chester W. Davis, F. L. Struthers, Elizabeth E. Abbott, W. H. Poole, Thos. Cook and Son Ltd., Margaret E. Hibbard, National Audubon Society, Senator William E. Borah, Stuart Baker, T. S. Palmer, Samuel Casey Wood III, Alan Wood, E. E. Chambers, McGill University, C. F. Martin, George Perley, Emma Shearer Wood, and Wheldon and Wesley. Some topics discussed within correspondence include bird protection, ornithology, travel, holidays, politics, and a speaking event during World War One.
Other individuals represented in this series include Archibald Thorburn, Robert Ridgway, Joseph Addison, M. K. Wisehart, Charles D. Stewart, Dr. George Harlet, Charles Livingston Bull, Dr. Harding, W. J. Belcher, Doris Rosenthal, Marquess of Tavistock, Francis Moore, Karel Fabritius, John Burroughs, T. C. Harrison, R. L. Gallienne, W. H. Bartlett, Harvey Cushing, John H. Sage, Alexander Wetmore, Dr. Andreas Nell, and John G. Howard.
Some locations either visited by Wood or represented in the series include England, Scotland, New Zealand, Australia, Switzerland, India, Sri Lanka, Italy, British Guiana, British Museum of Natural History, Notre Dame Cathedral, Victoria Albert Museum, and Bodleian Library.

The John Howard Toynbee Falk fonds was created during Falk's time in Montreal, including papers and addresses on the themes of social work including the role of the church in social services. They document the ideas of a leader and educator in the field of social work. In this vein there is, for example, a letter written by William Lyon Mackenzie King to Falk as the Director of the McGill School of Social Workers. These records also complement other holdings of t he McGill University Archives, including the official records of the School of Social Work and the private fonds of the Montreal Council of Social Agencies. The fonds also documents Falk's family life and his work with refugees during the 1905 Russian Revolution.

Collection contains primarily of 9 photograph albums containing 457 silver print photographs, and 4 printed items. It also includes records relating to Canadian railways and an export catalogue from the Canadian Car and Foundry Company.

Bovey's papers document his involvement with a number of organizations, his political, literary, and military careers, and his travels. His files as president of the Canadian Handicrafts Guild, 1930-1936, include reports, correspondence and speeches, while those connected with the Canadian Legion Educational Services also include photographs and printed material, 1939-1946. The C.B.C. series comprises programmes, draft speeches and letters, 1936-1944. His political correspondents include St. Laurent and MacKenzie King, 1940-1944. Speeches made by Bovey before the Legislative Council, business and other groups discuss a wide range of political, social and educational issues are supplemented by clipping files on Québec politics. Bovey's literary ventures generated correspondence and book reviews, as well as manuscript poems, 1939-1941, n.d., while his World War I military service is the subject of a small file of correspondence, 1915-1953. Finally, Bovey assembled scrapbooks of photographs and souvenirs of his voyages between 1930 and 1939. This file contains 4 photos of a convocation held on the lower campus on 28 May, 1952, including a photo of F. Cyril James in procession, a photo of Pricess Elizabeth and Prince Phillip driving through a crowd of students on lower campus during their royal visit to McGill on 30 October, 1951, and a photo of students in formal wear prior to the McGill Medical Ball on 20 March, 1953.
