Course outlines and university correspondence

File consists chiefly of course outlines, correspondence with McGill University, other correspondence, and McGill ephemera. Course outlines are for new or adapted courses in Chinese history and literature at McGill. McGill correspondence include some correspondence with principal Sir Arthur Currie regarding Kiang's employment at McGill. Other McGill documents include commencement ephemera (1930, 19330, a report on an M.A. thesis, etc. Other correspondence includes letters from the Library of Congress and the Gest Chinese Research Libray. One course outline contains biographical information on Prof. Kiang.

File consists chiefly of scholarly correspondence and inquiries regarding the Department of Chinese at McGill University. Letters in English and Chinese.

Witter Bynner correspondence

File consists of correspondence with Witter Bynner. Letters frequently refer to Kiang's publication The Jade Mountain, of which Bynner was the translator. Also included is a copy of Bynner's letter to the Guggenheim Memorial Foundation regarding a fellowship for Kiang.

Lectures and talks

File consists of invitations, announcements, and correspondence related to public talks and lectures given by Kiang for clubs and associations, university groups, and learned societies, including the Mechanics' Institute of Montreal, the Young Peoples' Assembly of the B'nai Jacob Synagogue, the St. James Literary Society, the Art Association of Montreal, the Elgin Lodge, the Canadian Institute of Music, and the Advertising Club of Montreal. Also includes forms from the McGill Department of Extra-Mural Relations regarding Lyceum Lecture, 1931 and 1932. Inclues some dinner menus.
