These are various business papers of Simon McTavish and include partnership agreements with William and Duncan McGillivray, William Hallowell, Roderick McKenzie, Angus Shaw and James Hallowell, 1806 and drafts of agreement for seven years between McTavish, Frobisher and Company and John Fraser of London, Simon McGillivray and John Tullon, 1805.

Minutes of a meeting of the Executors of the last Will and Testament of Simon McTavish held on 14th May 1805. Executors present were William McGillivray, Duncan McGillivray, Joseph Frobisher, Isaac Todd, and James Reid.

Two partnership documents

File contains 2 documents (copies) from the beginning of the North West Company. One document is a copy of the preamble and signatures from the 1790 North West Company articles of agreement signed at the company's many depot in Grand Portage on the shores of Lake Superior. This document outlines the division of the shares among the various NWC partners. The other document is a copy of the 1792 business agreement between the North West Co. and the Grant Campion Co.

Partner responsibilities and bill exchanges.

File contains 1 document outlining the financial responsibilities of each partner of the North West Company from 1804 to 1813, the problems of bill exchanges in England during and after the War of 1812, and the financial disputes which occurred after the absorption of the NWC into the Hudson's Bay Company.
