Inuktitut language instruction cassettes

Series consists of audiocassettes and textbooks of beginner level Inuktitut language lessons. Included in the series is the textbook "Innutitut Kuujjuamiutitut (Fort Chimo dialect)," by C.D. Ellis and J. Patridge, and the corresponding audio cassettes; these comprise a course created for research and field personnel who plan to work in Arctic Quebec. Course instruction covers the Fort Chimo [now Kuujjuaq] dialect, and is an adaptation of S.T. Mallon’s Inuktitut publications; audiocassette lessons follow the textbook edition revised in 1977 with the collaboration of M. Aitchison, and published by the McGill University Centre for Northern Studies and Research in 1978. 5 master audiocassettes, recorded on both sides, contain complete lesson audio. 10 student audio cassettes, recorded on side A only, contain duplicates of master recordings. Also included in series is an introductory level textbook of Inuktitut as spoken in the Frobisher Bay [now Nunavik] region: "Inuktitut Phase One," by S.T. Mallon & Staff [of] Inuktitut Learning Services, Frobisher Bay N.W.T. (1974-1977), published by the Department of Education, Northwest Territories.

CBC Calgary radio program Voices of the First Nations: the prairies

Series consists of a recording of the CBC Radio Calgary 1010 musical variety program "Voices of the First Nations," likely broadcast in 1995. Cassettes contain part 1, 2, and 3. The program highlights instrumental music, drumming, song, and story from a range of performers. Topics include: heritage, religion, childhood, education, legacy. Insert for all cassettes containers has cover design with CBC logo at top left, over black and white illustration by Dale Auger. Credits for each episode are listed on inside of cassette inserts.

Ojibway language instruction cassettes and textbooks

Series consists of cassettes of beginner level Ojibwa language lessons and accompanying textbook "The Ojibway language Course Outline for Beginners," by Basil Johnston. The series includes one edition of this textbook, and two spiral-bound copies of the original compiled from photocopies.
Johnston’s course was published in 1978 by the Indian and Inuit Affairs Program (now Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs), Education and Cultural Support Branch, under the authority of Minister of Indian and Northern Affairs J. Hugh Falkner. Lessons cover nouns and commonly used verbs, followed by an extensive list of prefix and suffix modifiers. The lesson format emphasizes listening and repetition.

Business records and correspondence

Series consists of William Wolfe's business records, organized by client or thematically and arranged into files alphabetically. Files contain chiefly correspondence, as well as printed promotional material, book lists, purchase orders, Wolfe's personal notes, and clippings.

Four projects include drawings, the majority document the design for offices and laboratories for the Bell Northern Research Company in Ottawa (1971-2); other drawings concern a proposal for the Canadian Chancery Building in Accra, Ghana (1969), a proposal for the Government of Canada's official residence in Dakar, Senegal (1970) and a new entrance to Redpath Hall, McGill University (1968).
"Photographs, 1971-2, 32 photographs." The project for offices and laboratories for Bell Northern Research contains photographs.
"Professional Papers, 1970, 6 cm." A project for the campus of the University of Windsor contains a planning report and a proposed extension to the Faculty Club of McGill University also contains a report.

The majority of the drawings concern the design for a master plan for the Forillon National Park in Gaspé, PQ (1970); other drawings document the design for a house for John Bland, Jr, in Ste. Anne-de-Bellevue (1976), offices for Bell Northern Research in Ottawa (1975-81) and a library for the University of Windsor (1971).
"Professional Papers, 1970-7, 9 cm." Papers relating to the master plan for the Forillon National Park and a feasibility study for proposed modifications to the property of J. W. McConnell (1977) are found in the CAC.

"Slides, ca 1960-84, 5 m." This archive contains seventy-one boxes of 35 mm slides of Canadian architecture, four boxes of slides of American architecture, two boxes of slides of Québec arts and crafts as well as three boxes of slides of paintings depicting Canadian architecture.

"Diapositives, circa 1960-1984, 5 m." Soixante et onze boîtes de diapositives 35 mm d'architecture canadienne, quatre boites de diapositives d'architecture américaine, deux boîtes de diapositives d'artisanat québécois et trois boites de diapositives de tableaux représentant des oeuvres architecturales canadiennes se trouvent dans le fonds de la CAC.

"Architectural Drawings, 1961-5, 311 drawings." Twelve projects contain drawings, among them the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (1962-5), a shopping centre in Kingston, ON (n.d.), a pharmaceutical centre and research laboratory for the Smith, Mine and French company in Senneville, PQ (n.d.), and the design of two residential houses in Montreal.
"Photographs, 1961-5, 84 photographs." A proposal for a master plan and municipal building in Baie d'Urfé, PQ (1962/3), a site planning study for McGill University (1961), a redevelopment scheme for Westmount (n.d.), and the Kingston shopping centre are among the six projects documented by photographs.
"Professional papers, 1960-3, 24 cm." The archive contains papers, primarily reports and specifications, for six projects, including the proposed master plan and municipal building for Baie d'Urfé, the development study for McGill University and a maintenance building for Les Habitations Jeanne-Mance in Montreal (1963).
