The fonds includes 27 drawings (1888-1896) of, notably, a house for George Drummond on Sherbrooke Street in Montreal and the Montreal Diocesan Theological College on University Street are documented in watercolour drawings of plans, elevations, and sections. In addition, there are measured drawings of the Hugh Allan house on Pine Avenue West in Montreal, designed by John William Hopkins (1825-1905) in 1861. These drawings were used for Taylor and Gordon's designs for additions to the Allan house. There is also an undated photograph of a measured drawing of the Hugh Allan house. In addition, there are also drawings by Andrew Taylor for the Montreal Maternity Hospital (Centre Hospitalier Ste-Jeanne-d'Arc), 1903. The fonds contains one published volume: Andrew T. Percy Corbett’s fonds reflects his expertise in Roman and international law. The fonds mostly consists of lecture notes written by him for his courses on Roman and international law. Also part of the collection are two bound notebooks on constitutional history, political theory and international law from his student days in Oxford (1919-1924), a few manuscript and typescript essays on Roman law, notes on Canadian-American relations (1942), and notes on international law (1949). Included is a diary (1916), correspondence (including correspondence to the Wilder Penfield and his wife Helen Katherine Kermott Penfield (1944-1959 ), reference letters (1922-1983), articles and newspaper clippings (1920-1989). Cuurriculum vitae and hand-written record about Corbett’s life, wills, addresses, draft of biography of Percy Corbett written by his son David, reviews of P. E. Corbett’s work, and book reviews of Percy Corbett are part of the fonds. Included is also material for 1946 Conference - Moscow Report, common place book (1930’s-1940’s), tributes to Percy Corbett, typed and hand-written Statement and Memorandum on the American-Canadian relations (1958), typescript Impressions-Mostly Oxonian by Percy Corbett and article Oxford-Impressions. Eric Aloys Sprenger's papers comprise course materials, and items reflecting sports and social activities at McGill in the 1930s. Apart from an annotated high-school geometry text, Sprenger's course materials are from his years at McGill. They comprise class and tutorial notes from each of the four years of the Engineering course. Also included in this series are exercises in freehand and mechanical drawing, 1930, and the outlines, drafts, and typed copies of summer essays for 1934, 1937, and 1939, on paper-making machines. Other reflections of student life are provided by copies of the McGill Daily for 21 November 1938 and November 29 1940 (the latter reporting the death of William Sprenger) and a song-sheet for an Engineering 'Smoker', 1935. A large scrapbook of newspaper clippings and programmes for swimming meets at McGill and the Montreal Amateur Athletic Association gives particular attention to William Sprenger's participation, 1926-1935.

A series has been dedicated to William Paterson Sprenger, Eric’s brother and the textual and photographic records concern his school and college record, and his death and subsequent memorials.

These papers concern two aspects of Sprenger's career: his school and college record, and his death and subsequent memorials. Sprenger's school records comprise reports from his school in England, 1918, and from Rothesay Collegiate School, Saint John, 1921-1926, together with a copy of the R.C.S. magazine recording his graduation, 1927, and a letter to his father, 1926. Two photographs of the Rothesay Football team, 1924, 1926, show Sprenger as captain. His McGill years are documented by matriculation, 1927, and graduation, 1931, certificates, convocation programmes, 1931 and 1934 and an official transcript of marks, 1933. His sports prowess is reflected by the programme of a Quebec Swimming Association competition organized by Sprenger in 1936 and by seven photographs of athletic and swimming teams in which Sprenger participated while at McGill. Various sports certificates, and Sprenger's amateur pilot's licence, 1939, also survive. His death in action is recorded by about eight letters of condolence to his parents from Air Force officers and chaplain, as well as his flying mates. They enclose Sprenger's 'Wings' and photographs of him and of his grave. Printed tributes to Sprenger from newspapers, and the house magazines of Canadian Industries, Ltd and of the Montreal Amateur Athletic Association are supplemented by other periodical articles on the R.C.A.F. and the Battle of Britain.

The Aileen Ross fonds consists mainly of correspondence (1935-1990), research files, a brief autobiography (1940-1980), biographical material (1920-1990), and specific talks (1942-1973). Included are personal diaries (1918-1962), appointment books (1946-1992), and Matthew Ibbotson's correspondence to Ross (1921-1927). Books, original and printed articles, newspaper clippings, and reviews of books and articles are also part of the collection. Non textual records consist of several photographs.

Fonds consists of papers pertaining to Adair's student days and scholarly publications prior to coming to McGill, and his teaching activities at McGill. There are no materials relating to his administration of the History Department or his presidency of the C.H.A. Records of Adair's student days include diplomas, examination papers, lecture syllabi and reading lists from the universities of London and Cambridge, and printed testimonials on his behalf, 1911-1918.

Drafts for scholarly publications on English constitutional history for the years 1916-1928 can be found in manuscript and proof form, as well as correspondence relating to his publications and the reviews they received, 1947-1955. Adair's research materials comprise notes and draft articles on the history of Québec parishes. Records of his teaching career at McGill include notes for lectures, a register of student marks (Restricted), formal examination papers, course outlines and copies of class notes from 1925 to 1954. Adair's family life is documented by a collection of photographs and glass negatives, largely of Adair himself as a child and young man, with family and school friends.

Fonds consists of photocopies of Anderson’s papers that document her work with the McGill Association of University Teachers (MAUT), and her work as lecturer at the McGill School of Information Studies.

This series consists of 23 volumes and 6 files focusing on travel, research, and expedition activities conducted during Casey Wood's ornithological research trips from 1920-1937, including periodical and newspaper publications written by Wood during this time. This series consists of manuscripts and articles relating to letters to friends and family providing accounts of his travels, clippings, photographs, printed ephemera, photostats, artwork, and feathers from John III. Some of the volumes contain manuscripts, notes, and/or photostats, while others are scrapbooks containing multiple record types seemingly curated, arranged and mounted by Wood or as directed by him.
Within this series are 209 incoming and outgoing correspondence including letters, notes and cards. Individuals in correspondence with Wood include Cora Raymond, G. R. Lomer, E. V. Sanderson, Sir George Perley, Sir Charles Major, H. Kirke Swann, Edith Hayes, Emma Shearer Wood, W. E. Wait, Sun Engraving Co., Taylor and Francis, Bitty and Seaborne Ltd., Stuart Baker, G. M. There are also a number of photostats of publications or manuscripts copied approximately in 1937 related to Emperor Frederick II’s “de Arte Venandi cum Avibus.” These photostats were used for reference during these research trips for Casey A. Wood and F. Marjorie Fyfe’s published translation “The Art of Falconry.”

This series consists of glass plate negatives and other photographic materials with their original boxes relating to the Feather Book, ornithology, falconry, McGill University Library, and Casey Wood. The majority of the glass plates were produced in Berlin, Germany by Agra, while a few were produced in London, England and Toronto, Canada; which is indicated on the boxes the plates were contained in. On many of these boxes, McGill University librarian Dr. G. R. Lomer’s name appears, indicating these plates and photographic materials were used for library-related activities. Most of the plates, photographs, and photographic negatives (1927, 1930, 1956) show pages from the Feather Book by Dionisio Minaggio. Other glass plate negatives and photographic material depict artwork or images relating to ornithology and falconry, a portrait of Casey Wood (1927), Gronvold’s painting of Wood’s parrot John III (1930?), an ornithological archeological exhibit in the Redpath Library (1924), and library stacks in the Redpath Library (1924).

This series consists of 14 scrapbook volumes and files of material collected by Wood that were of interest to him either professionally or personally, dated between 1887-1955, but predominately 1926-1941. The scrapbooks and files contain newspaper and periodical clippings, correspondence, printed ephemera, photographs, postcards, palm leaf manuscripts, prints, paintings and other artwork, manuscripts, bookplates, place cards, and textile badges. There are also a few items within the volumes relating to Wood’s research trips and minor writings.
Overall topics within the series include ornithology, Wood’s parrot John III, zoology, naturalists, current events (1927-1941), poems, politics and war, British culture and people, health, obituaries, education, tourism, science and medical research, McGill Library and other institution collections, bird sanctuaries, and bird, ancient, and medieval artwork.
Printed ephemera from Wood’s travels include invitations, programs, brochures, tickets, visitation membership cards, business cards, etc.. There are two volumes (1925-1932) with Saturday Evening Post articles written by Hal G. Evarts, Stewart E. White, David Newell, Bozeman Bulger, Lord William Percy, Donald R. Dickey, and others.
