James Watt Medal

This item is a James Watt medal awarded to J.R. McKenzie in 1884. One side of the medal bears a wreath surrounded by the words, "In memory of the Meeting of the British Association at Montreal, 1884, and "J.R. McKenzie, 1884" etched in the middle. The other side has a profile of James Watt with the words, "Presented at McGill University, Montreal, Prize for applied sciences."

WWI British medal

This item is a medal and ribbon from WWI awarded to General H. Lipsey. The ribbon is yellow with white, black and blue stripes near the edges. The medal depicts a mounted rider whose horse is stomping on a skeleton and a shield with the coat of arms of Germany, with the years 1914 and 1918. The back of the medal has King George V in profile and the words "Georgus V Britt. Omn: Rex et In. Imp." around the edge.
