The fonds contains administrative and operational records of the Sons of Scotland Benevolent Association from roughly 1913 to 2017, including correspondence, financial statements, member directories, membership documents, newsletters and magazines, and minutes. These documents represent the association's aims to support Scottish immigrants to Canada and promote Scottish heritage. The fonds also includes artifacts collected or created by the association, including promotional materials, and the association's library of maps and books related to Scottish arts and culture. Series 4 represents another of the principal activities of the association, the creation and delivery of insurance policies to Scottish newcomers to Canada.

Series represents day-to-day administrative workings of the association and contains financial statements, record books, receipts, directories, Grand Camp information, constitutions, ritual books, and committee records.

File contains 16 booklets containing the Ritual of the Sons of Scotland Benevolent Association, published in multiple issues between the years 1967 to 1998 for officers and members of the association. File also contains 3 small single printed sheets of General Directions regarding points of ritual and meeting etiquette.

File contains nine booklets with the Constitution of the Sons of Scotland, published in multiple issues between the years of 1948 to 1985.

File contains eight booklets with the Constitution of the Sons of Scotland, published in multiple issues between the years of 1985 to 2015, with gaps. Also contains second copy of Constitution, 1991-1994, previously belonging to Grand Chief May Cook and including her notes and annotations.

File contains Grand Camp proceedings (from Grand Camps held in 1976, 1979, 1982, 1985, 1991, and 1997) and a Policy and Procedures Manual for Grand Camp 2009.

File consists of manual with instructions of set up and movement to train officers for floor work during a camp meeting
