General note
Dr. Penfield delivered this paper as the Valentine Prize Lecture of the Danish Neurological Society and the Ninth Scandinavian Electroencephalography Conference, Copenhagen, June 18, 1966. It was also published in Acta Neurologica Scandinavica, 43: 1-10. [There seems to be a discrepancy concerning the date of the Valentine Prize Lecture. see Record No.328 (P31) Guest Article, which gives the date as June 20, 1967 - Dr Penfield's manuscript is dated June 8, 1966.] The paper was rerinted as MNI Reprint #879, which can be found in the box labelled "Bibliography Nos. P.140-P.320" under number P281.
