        <p>Alfred Leslie Perry was born in 1896. He graduated from the McGill School of Architecture in 1923, and in 1924 won the travelling scholarship in Architecture given by the Royal Canadian Academy. He toured England, France and Italy making a study of ornament, sculpture and decoration as applied to architecture, in numerous sketches and watercolour drawings. The work was published in the Journal, Royal Architectural Institute of Canada His architectural practice included designs for residential, commercial and instituional projects in Quebec. He died in 1982.</p>
